3 cups (750 mL) apples, peeled
1 tsp (5 mL) fresh lemon zest
1 Tbsp (15 mL) fresh lemon juice
1 cup (250 mL) fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup (250 mL) blueberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup (250 mL) blackberries, fresh or frozen
1⁄4 tsp (1.25 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) cinnamon, ground
2 Tbsp (30 mL) cornstarch
1⁄3 cup (75 mL) Truvía® calorie-free sweetener spoonable*
1 pie crust
2 Tbsp (30 mL) butter
Directions
- 1.
Assemble all ingredients; preheat oven to 425° F (218° C).
- 2.
Thinly slice apples; place in bowl, top with lemon zest and juice; set aside.
- 3.
In large mixing bowl, place strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, salt, cinnamon, cornstarch and Truvía® calorie-free sweetener; blend together; set aside.
- 4.
Place pie crust dough on lightly floured surface; roll out; transfer to parchment-lined sheet pan.
- 5.
Gently combine apple and berry mixtures.
- 6.
Place fruit mixture into center of pie crust; leaving 11⁄2 inch border around edge of crust; place butter pats on fruit filling.
- 7.
Flip up crust edge towards middle, pleating as you fold up.
- 8.
Bake in 425° F (218° C) oven for 50-55 minutes; rotate 180° half way through baking.
- 9.
Cool on wire rack; serve warm or at room temperature.
