Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch (2.54 cm) pieces

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 can (28 oz) pork & beans

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend

  • 12 tsp (2.5 mL) dry mustard

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) molasses

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ketchup or chili sauce

Directions

  • 1.

    Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • 2.

    In small skillet, saute bacon and onion until bacon is crisp and onion is translucent, about 5 minutes; drain.

  • 3.

    Pour all ingredients into 1 12 or 2-quart casserole.

  • 4.

    Bake about 30-45 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.

*These beans have 200 calories and 14 grams of sugar per serving compared to the brown sugar-sweetened version which have 230 calories and 21 grams of sugar.
