6-ounce (177 mL) tomato paste
1 cup (240 mL) water
2 Tbsp (30mL) fresh basil, washed and minced
2 Tbsp (30 mL) Truvía® Calorie-Free Sweetener
1 Tbsp (15 mL) garlic powder
1 Tbsp (15 mL) onion powder
½ tsp salt (3 mL) + ¼ tsp (2 mL) salt
½ tsp (3 mL) black pepper
1 ¼ cup (300 mL) half and half
Directions

In a large saucepan, add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and water.

Bring to a boil.

Stir in the basil, Truvía® Calorie-Free Sweetener, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper

Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 40 minutes.

Remove from the heat.

Cool slightly, carefully use hand blender or blender to make smooth
- 7.
Stir in half and half.
- 8.
Season with an additional ¼ tsp salt.
- 9.
Mix well.
- 10.
Return to the heat to warm and serve.

Refrigerate all leftovers.
