Crème Brulee with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

1 cup (250 mL) heavy whipping cream
1 cup (250 mL) 2% evaporated milk
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
2 Tbsp (30 mL) Truvia® Cane Sugar Blend
Pinch of salt
4 egg yolks
1⁄4 cup (60 mL) Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend
Directions

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

In a sauce pan, combine heavy whipping cream, vanilla, Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and salt. Heat to a simmer for 10 min then turn off stove. After removing from the heat, add the evaporated milk to help the mixture cool.

Prep a baking dish by lining it with a kitchen towel, 6 ramekins, and pour hot water around the sides of the ramekins.
- 4.
Add the egg yolks to the saucepan and mix to blend.
- 5.
Pour the mixture into the ramekins and bake for 30 min.
- 6.
Cool then sprinkle the ramekins evenly with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend. Caramelize the Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend with a kitchen torch, chill and serve! (If you don’t have a kitchen torch, you can caramelize the Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend by placing the ramekins under a broiler for about 1-2 minutes until melted and caramelized).
*This crème brulee has 280 calories and 8 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version which has 320 calories and 26 grams of sugar per serving.
