Dijon Mustard Glazed Ham Recipe with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend

8-10 lbs bone in, smoked, cured ham
Glaze
1 cup water
1 Tbsp pepper corns
1 Tbsp whole cloves
1 whole anise star
1 bay leaf
1 small white onion
2 Tbsp dijon mustard
½ cup Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend
Directions
- 1.
Preheat oven to 325º F.
- 2.
In a medium sauce pan, combine water, peppercorns, cloves, anise, bay leaf and onion chopped into large pieces.
- 3.
Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes uncovered.
- 4.
Score the fat surface on ham in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife.
- 5.
Place ham in a deep roasting pan.
- 6.
Pour content of sauce pan over ham.
- 7.
Brush or rub on mustard.
- 8.
Pack on Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend.
- 9.
Cover with foil.
- 10.
Bake for 2 hour or until inserted thermometer reaches at least 140 degree.
- 11.
Baste ham several times during baking to enhance flavor.
- 12.
Allow ham to rest at least 10 minutes before carving and serving.
- 13.
Refrigerate any leftovers
*Each serving of glazed ham contains 1 gram of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version that has 4 grams of sugar per serving.
