Simple Syrup
1 cup (250mL) water
1⁄4 cup (60mL) Truvía® Calorie-Free Sweetener
4 whole cloves
1-inch piece peeled ginger, cut into pieces
3 cinnamon sticks

1 bottle zinfandel
3⁄4 cup (180mL) simple syrup
1⁄3 cup (75mL) cointreau
2 honey crisp apples, cored and sliced
1 pear, cored and sliced
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1 12-oz bottle ginger beer
Directions

To prepare simple syrup, combine water, Truvía® Calorie-Free Sweetener, cloves, ginger and cinnamon in a saucepan. Gently simmer 15-20 minutes until the Truvía® Calorie-Free Sweetener dissolves and flavours blend.

Remove from heat and cool completely. The simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

To make sangria, combine zinfandel, simple syrup and cointreau in pitcher or carafe. Stir to combine. Add apples, pear, orange and lemon.

To serve, fill 6 glasses with ice. Divide sangria between glasses and top each with ginger beer.
