Mint Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies Recipe with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250mL) butter or margarine, softened

  • 1 cup (250mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp (5mL) mint extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 12 tsp (2.5mL) baking soda

  • 12 tsp (2.5mL) salt

  • 1 cup (250mL) mint chocolate chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)

    In a large bowl, stir butter and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend until smooth. Stir in eggs and mint extract.

  • 3.

    Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Add the flour to the creamed mixture. Stir in the mint chocolate chips.

  • 4.

    Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls at least 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. (Or roll into 1 1⁄4-inch balls, or use small cookie scoop).

  • 5.

    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges of cookies are lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets. Cool on wire rack. Store tightly covered when cool.

*These cookies have 130 calories and 6 grams of sugar per serving compared to the sugar-sweetened version which have 160 calories and 14 grams of sugar.
