Tuna Macaroni Salad with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

4 cups (960 mL) rotini whole grain-cooked (2 cups/475 mL dry)
1⁄3 cup (80 mL) diced, washed celery
1⁄4 cup (60 mL) dice, washed onion
1 Tbsp (15 mL) diced, washed fresh parsley
5 oz light tuna in water
6 washed and sliced cherry tomatoes
1⁄2 cup aioli flavoured mayonnaise with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend
3 tbsp (45 mL) low-fat sour cream
1⁄2 tsp (2.5 mL) salt
1⁄4 tsp (1.25 mL) pepper
Directions
- 1.
Cook rotini following directions on package.
- 2.
In a large bowl, combine cooked rotini, celery, onion, parsley, tuna and tomatoes. Mix well.
- 3.
In a small bowl, whisk together aioli-flavoured mayonnaise, mustard, Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, sour cream, salt and pepper.
- 4.
Pour the dressing over the salad and stir until mixed well.
- 5.
Cover and chill 1-2 hours before serving.
- 6.
Store any remaining salad covered in the refrigerator.
*This recipe has 4 grams of sugar per serving, compared to the full-sugar version that has 7 grams of sugar per serving.
